Sowing time: Autumn-Spring/warm zones, Spring-Summer/moderate temps, Spring/cool zones.

Position:  Sunny.  Requires staking.

Sowing: 6mm deep, 50cm apart.

Sprouting: 6-12 days. 

Harvest: 72-80 days.

Chakra: Base.

Producing large, fleshy, heart-shaped, red fruit weighing up to 500gm with excellent flavour. Great for eating fresh or for use in soups and sauces. An old favourite in Australian gardens.

General note: 
Do not be too hasty to discard seed that does not germinate, seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural requirements for germination to occur. Containers put to one side will often surprise long after they were discarded.
