Sowing: 6-10mm deep, direct in final position. 

Sprouting: Emerges 7-14 days. 

Harvest: Baby leaf harvest in 21 days. 

Chakra: Heart. 

Spinacia oleracea. 

Excellent choice for home growers and market gardeners, and Annual grown for its large green leaves. Will grow in a wide range of soils if kept fertile and moist. Best sown in autumn, winter and early spring to avoid the hottest part of the year. 

Rich in vitamin A, B and C, mineral salts and iron, it can be boiled, steamed, and used to make soups and stir fry.
