Native Australian everlasting endemic to South Western Australia and into South Australia.
Annual cutting plant to 50 cm, this has been a popular plant in cultivation for many years because of its delightful display of large and very colourful, papery flower heads in mixed colours that appear mainly in winter and spring. Mix of brilliant rose, rose-red (yellow centre) rose-red (dark centre) and white upward facing flowers.
In temperate areas of Australia it is best to sow from first winter rains through to late winter. Flower will continue until the rains stop and it becomes too hot and dry. Easy to grow, it will often germinate in the garden from seed produced from the previous season's plantings.
