Family: Asteraceae.
Ideal sowing temp: 18-22C.
Position: Sunny, well drained.
Sowing: 3mm deep. Scatter direct or sow in trays and cover lightly with fine soil. If sowing in trays transplant when large enough to handle.
Care: Water with fine mist. Keep moist but not wet.
Sprouting: 14-21 days.
Flowering: 10-12 weeks.
Pycnosorus globosus syn. CRASPEDIA globosus.
Endemic to News South Wales, Queensland and South Australia. A hardy perennial with tall straight stems and golden yellow ball-shaped flowers which occur continuously during warmer months. Tolerates frost and coastal conditions.
Excellent for garden beds, pots, and as a dried flower.
