Sowing time: Autumn-Spring (germinates best at 13-24C).

Position:  Sunny.

Sowing: 10mm deep

Sprouting: 7-10 days. (Transplant at 8 weeks)

Harvest: Approx. 140 days after sowing.

Chakra: Heart.

Great for stews, soups, stir-fry and as a substitute for onion.  An old French variety with a mild flavour and huge, tender, creamy, white stalks. Very hardy, requires long growing season and is disease resistant.

General note: 
Do not be too hasty to discard seed that does not germinate, seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural requirements for germination to occur. Containers put to one side will often surprise long after they were discarded.
