Ideal sowing temp: 25C
Position: Open, sunny.
Preparation: Pour just-boiling water over seeds and soak overnight. Dry the seeds before sowing to prevent rotting.
Sowing: 1mm deep. Cover very lightly with soil.
Care: Keep moist but not wet.
Sprouting: 12-30 days.
A slender shrub to 2m x 2m with mauve-pink pea-shaped flowers in late winter and spring.
Widespread in southern Australia and NE Queensland. Prefers a light to medium soil in an open sunny position, moderately frost resistant and drought tolerant but looks better with moderate watering.
