Fennel has a taste similar to anise and is one of the primary ingredients in absinthe. The feathery leaves and also the seeds can be used. This variety produces a large bulb that can be used like celery in salads or cooked and is delicious roasted. Fennel is highly attractive to insects and butterflies too.
Please note: This item is seeds only, NOT live plants! Quarantine restrictions prohibit us selling or shipping this item to WA, Norfolk Island, Tasmania, or Internationally.
Do not be too hasty to discard seed that does not germinate, seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural requirements for germination to occur. Containers put to one side will often surprise long after they were discarded.
