Family: Myrtaceae.
Ideal sowing temp: 18-22C (Avoid the coldest and hottest temps).
Position: Open & sunny once matured.
Sowing: Sprinkle on surface of porous seed raising mix. Cover very lightly with soil. Warm, shaded or semi-shaded position while sprouting.
Care: Water with fine mist spray to avoid disturbance of the seed.
Sprouting: 10-28 days.
Also known as ‘Silver Dollar Gum’. Grows to around 15m in height x 5metres around, with a dense crown of attractive, silver-blue foliage. An attractive tree with small cream to yellow flowers from spring through to summer, naturally widespread in New South Wales and Victoria. Adaptable to a range of soil types and tolerant of seasonal waterlogging. The striking and distinctive foliage is widely used in flower arrangements.
