Horned, oval shaped cucumber with yellow skin and green flesh. Known in ancient India, Rome, and Greece. The flavour is said to be a mixture of cucumber and watered-down banana. The skin is edible too and is an excellent source of fibre and vitamin C. Also called Jelly Melon and Kiwano, it is known as both a fruit and a vegetable and is great for a range of food uses.
