Harvest: Anytime after it reaches maturity.

Chakra: Heart.

Often used in public spaces for mass plantings, this is a very popular succulent with a distinct growing habit. It grows large, silvery-green rosettes up to 1m across, before smaller rosettes emerge from them. The plant forms a large rosette mound up to a metre tall.

It grows well in rockeries, gardens, and because it is very drought tolerant like all succulents, it is a favourite for pots around pools, on balconies, and in corners where established plants are expected to survive with very little care or water.

This is very hardy and maintenance free, and it is a reliable performer, making it a landscaping favourite with it’s delightful texture, colour, foliage, and striking seed pods which grow up in the air before sweeping over towards the ground like a huge (approx. 1.5m) foxtail, where it gets it’s common name from.

Please note: This item is seeds only, NOT live plants! Quarantine restrictions prohibit us selling or shipping this item to WA, Norfolk Island, Tasmania, or Internationally.

General note:
Do not be too hasty to discard seed that does not germinate, seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural requirements for germination to occur. Containers put to one side will often surprise long after they were discarded.

Agave seeds

The seeds arrived promptly and well packed. I now have the challenge of getting them to germinate and wait 10 years to flower!
I will need to be patient.
