Family: Fabaceae

Native to East Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. A fast-growing small perennial shrub or tree up to 6m with narrow leaves and pale cream/yellow ball-shaped flowers during Winter-Spring. Nitrogen-fixing. Useful for controlling erosion, hedging, as a shade tree, around bogs and ponds, and as a windbreaker.

Adaptable to most soils but prefers a protected shaded moist position. Drought and frost tender.  Some individuals are allergic to Acacia floribunda pollen.
