Family: Poaceae.
Ideal sowing temp: 18-22C (Avoid the coldest and hottest temps).
Position: Open & sunny.
Preparation: Sow in pots or punnets first and transplant after several weeks.
Sowing: Sow on surface of loose growing medium and press down.
Care: Water daily with fine mist spray to avoid disturbance of the seed. Do not allow to dry out.
Sprouting: 14-21 days.
Native to Australia, this attractive tussock forming grass to 1m, is ideal for most climates. It’s flowing, slightly bluish-tinted grass makes it excellent for use in natural looking landscaping and as an attractive feature in gardens, streets, parks, and reserves. Has been used by Aborigines as a fibre source to make string for nets, bags, baskets and mats. It is drought tolerant, frost-tolerant, and extremely hardy.
Attracts small b1rds and bu++erfly caterp1llars. A favourite food of the common w0mbat.
