Sowing temp: 15-30C
Position: Full Sun; Will tolerate poor drainage, wet and boggy soils.
Preparation: Propagate using the bog method, where the pot containing the seeds is placed into a saucer of water until germination occurs.
Sowing: 1mm deep. Cover very lightly with soil.
Sprouting: 14-80 days.
A tufting plant that provides protection for frogs and habitat for insects and food for native butterfly/moth species. Good for erosion control in wet areas. Found along watercourses, poorly drained areas, and around swampy areas. Leaves can be used for weaving baskets and similar items.
