‘Crystal Apple’

Family: Cucurbitaceae. 

Ideal sowing temp: 18-28C (Avoid the coldest and hottest temps). 

Position:  Sunny. 

Preparation: Soak in boiling water 10-15 hours before sowing or scarify. 

Sowing: 12mm deep and 90cm between seedlings (can sow in clumps of 2-3 seeds). 

Care:  Keep moist.  Water with fine mist spray to avoid disturbance of the seed. 

Sprouting: 6-10days. 

Harvest: 70-100 days 

Produces pale yellow / greenish white fruits. The fruit is crisp and has very thin rind with virtually no bitterness, even when old. Extremely high yielding and very tasty for salads.
