Sowing time: Spring and Summer
Climate: Temperature must be over 25-30C to germinate.
Position: Sunny.
Sowing: 5mm directly in final position or in seed boxes; space 50cm apart.
Sprouting: 10-14 days
Harvest: Harvest any time when fruits are of a suitable size.
Chakra: Solar Plexus.
Highly productive plants up to 1m tall bearing clusters of bright red upward pointing fruits 5cm long. Used in many Thai dishes including red curries. General note:
Do not be too hasty to discard seed that does not germinate, seeds will often lay dormant until the conditions are similar to their natural requirements for germination to occur. Containers put to one side will often surprise long after they were discarded.
