Calendula officinalis

Popular hardy annual for border planting and cut flowers.  Makes an excellent companion plant for organic gardening.  Single-petalled flowers are orange.  Believed to have many medicinal properties.  Petals and leaves can make a tasty addition to salads or as a pretty garnish for desserts.
