The Lace Bark Tree has tough and leathery seed pods that open to reveal rows of bright golden seeds and delicate, pale pink, bell-shaped flowers.
The seeds are edible and quite nutritious but should be roasted before eating. Care must be taken when removing them from the fibrous material which surrounds them as it can be quite irritating. The seeds can also be used to make a beverage similar to coffee. The tubers of young trees may also be eaten.
The Chakra Garden cannot take any responsibility for any adverse effects from the use of plants.
Always seek advice from a professional before eating or using a plant medicinally.
