Position: Light Shade to Full Sun
Preparation: Smoke treatment may assist growth.
Sowing: Sow on surface. Cover very lightly with soil.
Care: Keep moist but not wet with fine mist spray.
Sprouting: 6-25 days.
Seed remains viable for several years stored at room temperature.
Growing to a height and width of around 1.5m, with mauve, pink, or white flowers. Fast-growing and evergreen native, it is frost-tender but drought tolerant and wind-tolerant, making it useful in low-story windbreaks, and provides habitat for b1rds and other small cre@tures.
